I was the laid-back kind of bride. I love just going with the flow in all aspects of my life. I do what makes me happy. I’m all about nature, books, & the beach. Isle of Palms is my happy place. I’m currently a preschool teacher in Mount Pleasant and love what I do.
How did you meet your groom?
We met on a dating app. Although, we may have knew each other vaguely before that, as we rode the same bus in high school and were already friends on Facebook. So we like to say we met through mutual friends.
Where did your wedding take place?
Alhambra Hall, Mount Pleasant SC
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
My favorite part was when we walked into the venue after the ceremony, and everyone is happy to see us.

What styles were you channeling while dress shopping?
I was looking for something boho/simple but elegant. I loved Stassi Schroeder’s wedding dress and really wanted something similar.
Tell us about finding your perfect dress:
I was looking for something with puffy sleeves but simple. I tried on other dresses that just didn’t fit the bill, so I felt a little discouraged. My sister, Caroline, came across your instagram post comparing one of your dresses to Stassi’s. I knew right then, and there that was the one I had to have.
What advice would you give to a bride about dress shopping?
My advice for brides dress shopping would be to go shopping by yourself first before bringing in guests. It’s a special moment for you. You should see what you like before bringing in the opinions of others because, in the end, it’s your dress.
Any words of wedded wisdom?
Getting married doesn’t really change anything if you have a good loving foundation. People keep asking us if it feels different, and it really doesn’t. Our love is still the same, and we are just growing together now.
